Tree-mendous Christmas

The year has gone by unbelievably fast and even though it's almost Christmas I hope it's still not too late to put a Christmas themed set of journaling cards in my shop... Well, even if it is I did it anyway. ;) You can find the set here.

I also made a little Christmas present for you all since you've been so nice this past year. :)

You can download the freebie here. I hope you like it and have a wonderful Christmas with all your loved ones!

A Harvest of Memories

Fall is pretty much over here and Christmas is just around the corner so it's about time I uploaded my fall themed journaling cards to the shop. ;) The set includes 18 journaling cards as usual in delicious fall colors and you can find them here.

I used a few of the cards on my last week's Project Life layout.

I also put together a little freebie for you that coordinates with the whole set.

You can get the freebie here. Enjoy!

Sizzlin' Summer with a freebie

We've had some nice summer weather and lots of sun shine here lately and that's inspired me to create a new set of journaling cards perfect for summer and beach layouts.

The set is called Sizzlin' Summer and it's available in my Etsy store here. I actually remade this set three times with different color schemes before I was happy with it...

Here's a better look at the cards.

As usual, I've also got a small sampler of the kit available for free in the end of this post. But before that, I'm going to show you my Project Life pages for the weeks 27 and 28.

I really like the colors on this spread and the July divider matched perfectly.

The week in review card with the minion waving is my favourite part of this spread. :)

Ok, now onto the freebie.

It's a total of five journaling cards that co-ordinate with the Sizzlin' Summer pack. You can download the cards here. Enjoy and hopefully you'll have lots of sunny pictures to use the cards with! :)

New journaling cards and Paris memorabilia

We're back from our trip to Paris and I've also managed to put those pictures into my Project Life album. But, let me get back to those pages later, since I first want to show you my newest set of journaling cards that I finished up today.

The pack is called Sweet'n Sassy and it turned out so cute. :) This set is inspired by an old kit of mine and it's just perfect for scrapping all those little princesses. You can find the cards in my Etsy store. As usual, I also have a little co-ordinating freebie for you all at the end of this post. :)

But before that, I'd like to show you my Project Life pages from our trip. Getting these pages done seemed like a bit of a daunting task at first since I had 700 pictures to choose from but in the end it was suprisingly easy. All I had to do was to choose my favourite photos from the main places we visited and arrange them into the album. I also used some of my Bon Voyage journaling cards with them. :)

I decided to include two weeks onto one spread since we were traveling during both weeks. I also included a lot of different sized plastic pocket inserts to get all the photos and memorabilia to fit onto the spread.

That's a list of the places we visited each day.

We spent one day at Paris Air Show and got some cool business cards from there. This plastic pocket insert was perfect for them in addition to some photos from the air show.

I added some photos and tickets from different places onto the other side of the pockets.

All the other tickets, brochures and memorabilia went into this one plastic pocket that I found from our local bookstore.

And here's the other side of the spread. I'm still planning on adding some journaling onto one of those extra inserts but that's not quite finished yet. Anyway, I'm just so happy I found Project Life since that gives a perfect solution for storing up all that memorabilia you end up having from traveling. :)

Ok, I guess it's time for the freebie now. :)

You can download the freebie here. Have fun and enjoy the summer!

Bon Voyage with something old, something new plus something free :)

I hope your summer is off to a great start! I had my first week of summer vacation this week and so I had some time to add a few more items to my shop. I actually started making this journaling card set already a while back but lost my inspiration somewhere in the process and made other journaling card sets meanwhile. But, this week I got my inspiration back and this is the result. So, let's have a look. :)

These journaling cards co-ordinate with one of my most popular kits, a travel themed kit called Bon Voyage, and they are perfect for any travel or road trip layouts. They are available in my Etsy shop here.

Some of you have been asking me where to get the Bon Voyage kit and now I have good news for you, I revamped it a bit and it's also now available in my Etsy shop here.

I added my co-ordinating Bon Voyage Date Labels to the shop as well.

And, of course I made a few extra cards for you to get a taste of the set. You can download them here.

P.S. I also have a revamped add-on to the Bon Voyage kit available in my old post here. Enjoy and bon voyage in case you are traveling somewhere this summer! We're actually heading to Paris in a few weeks so I'll be able to put these cards into use soon. :)

Signs of spring and a free add-on

It has taken a bit longer than usual for spring to get here this year but this was the first week we finally got some signs of spring and the snow finally started to melt. To celebrate that I made another spring themed journal card pack. The set is called Spring Melody Journal Cards and they are available in my Etsy shop here. There's a total of 18 journal cards in yummy greenish colors in the set. I really enjoyed making these and I hope you like the result.

The journal cards were inspired by my kit called Spring Melody that's also available in my shop. The kit is packed with cute elements, an alpha set and nine papers.

I've also got a free add-on pack of journal cards for you. You can download them here. Enjoy! :)

I'm back with new products and a freebie :)

It's been quiet here for a reeeeeally long time even though that wasn't my intention. Sorry about that! I quit digital designing and scrapbooking altogether in the beginning of 2010 in order to concentrate on studying and other things. I didn't even visit many scrapbooking sites since that. However, a few months ago I came across Project Life scrapbooking system while reading a few blogs and realized that was just the thing for me. So, I started making my yearly photo album with Project Life system and surfed through a lot of traditional and digital scrapbooking web stores to buy products for making my album. And during that time the inspiration to try my hand in designing again came back and I started making my own journaling cards. At the same time I realized how much I liked designing and missed all you guys and decided to start making my designs available again.

However, this time I wanted to do it in a more relaxed way in my own pace and so I've opened an Etsy shop under the name designsbymira since Mira Designs wasn't available. I'm still using Mira Designs as my designer name because that's what I'm used to and some of you might still remember me by that (hope that's not too confusing). I'm slowly going to fill the shop with new Project Life/pocket style scrapbooking journaling card sets. I'm also going through my old scrapbooking kits and element packs and adding my favourites to the shop as well in case someone's still interested in them. And to celebrate the opening, I'm having a sale in my shop. That means you'll get 30 % off from your order with this coupon, OPENINGDISCOUNT. :)

So, I guess you'll want to see my first new products. :) Since it's Easter, I wanted to make something for Easter pages and I used my old kit, Joys of Spring, as inspiration and made an Easter themed journaling card set to match. It turned out really fresh and cute if you don't mind me saying so. ;) It's called Easter-ific and it's available in my Etsy shop here. I've also got a matching journaling card freebie in the end of this post so be sure to check it out.

Here's my Project Life album pages for the weeks 12 and 13 using some of these journaling cards. The colors are a bit off in the photos but you'll get the idea. I usually make only one page of each week. That way it's easier for me to keep up when I don't have to stress about filling up an entire spread each week.

And this is the matching kit, Joys of Spring, that I also added to the shop. I updated the kit a little bit from the original to better match my current style and changed a few papers and elements altogether. Hope you like it.

I also made a journaling card calendar set that you can find here. The cards are sized 6x4 and they are easy to recolor to match your layouts.

I added a couple of my old products to the shop as well. First, Printed Kraft Papers that you can find here.

These cute Bobby Pins.

 And my Stitched Newspaper Alpha.

And finally, here's the Easter-ific journaling card freebie for you to download. Hope you like it and thanks so much for visiting my blog! :)
